Professor Albert: They're a bit like facehuggers, aren't they?
The Doctor: Face...huggers?
Professor Albert: Yeah, you know. Alien. The horror movie, Alien.
The Doctor: There's a horror movie called Alien? That's really offensive, no wonder everyone keeps invading you.
The Doctor: Clara, could you fetch me the dead one?
Clara: Maybe I could fetch you a cup of tea while I'm at it.
The Doctor: Oooh... (Clara glares) yes, and a punch in the face, too.
Clara: My very next suggestion.
The Doctor: Fair enough.
Danny: Do you know why people get together at Christmas? Because every time they do, it might be the last time. Every Christmas is last Christmas, and this is ours. This was a bonus, this was extra.
Shona: You're a dream who's trying to save us.
Santa Claus: Shona, sweetheart, I'm Santa Claus. I think you just defined me.
Shona: I'm scared.
The Doctor: Congratulations, that means you're not an idiot.
The Doctor: Do you know what I hate about the obvious?
Clara: What?
The Doctor: Missing it.
Santa Claus: Hey! Do you want to take the reins, Doctor?
The Doctor: You're a dream construct, currently representing either my recovering or expiring mind.
Santa Claus: Yes, but do you want a go?
The Doctor: Yeah, all right!
The Doctor: These are Christmas hats. I've seen people use them. They put them on, and absolutely anything seems funny.
Clara: Oh. Probably won't work on you.
The Doctor: Probably not. You want me to try?
Clara: Go on, then.
The Doctor: The TARDIS is outside.
Clara: Sorry?
The Doctor: So all of time and all space is sitting out there in that big blue box. Please, don't even argue.

Quotes from "Last Christmas" (Part 1)
Ian: You know, no one really likes the tangerines, don't you?
Santa Claus: How dare you? They're my signature gift. That and the walnut.
Santa Claus: How did you think those presents got under the tree every year? By magic?
Clara: Well, I thought it was my mum and...
Wolf and Ian: Mum and dad?
Wolf: Well, of course it was. It makes perfect sense.
Ian: Yeah, your mum and dad one day a year for no particular reason, just out of the blue, suddenly decide to give you a great big pile of presents.
Wolf: No no no. Because they love you so much. It's a lovely story, dear.
Ian: Yeah, but it's time to start living in the real world.
Ashley: Who the hell are you?
The Doctor: Oh, go on, take a guess, push the boat out. Tooth Fairy, maybe? The Easter Bunny?
Ian: Shut your mouth, wiseguy, or you get yours.
Wolf: It's a balloon animal.
Ian: That's a toy gun.
Wolf: Yeah, but at least it's unsuitable for children under 4. Parts small enough to swallow. So, uh, watch out.
Shona: The North Pole isn't an actual pole.
Ian: Of course it is. Look!
Shona: If it was an actual pole, it would not be stripey.
Wolf: It's got to be stripey.
Ian: Otherwise you couldn't see it moving around.
Wolf: Umm, it's your basic physics.
The Doctor: You know what the big problem is in telling fantasy from reality apart?
Ashley: What?
The Doctor: They're both ridiculous.
Clara: So we don't know what is real and what isn't?
The Doctor: Exactly.
Clara: Are we in danger?
The Doctor: Oh, we are well past danger, Clara. If I'm right, and I usually am, we're dying.
The Doctor: You missed the killer question.
Shona: Say what?
The Doctor: Beardy-weirdy.
Santa Claus: Yeah?
The Doctor: How'd you get all the questions in the sleigh.
Santa Claus: Bigger on the inside.
Wolf: Oooohhhh.
Santa Claus: How dare you? They're my signature gift. That and the walnut.

Quotes from "The Time of the Doctor"
Tasha Lem: Once, there was a planet much like any other. And unimportant. This planet sent the universe a message. A bell tolling among the stars, ringing out to all the dark corners of creation. And everybody came to see. Although no one understood the message, everyone who heard it found themselves afraid. Except one man. The man who stayed for Christmas.
Clara: Emergency. You're my boyfriend.
The Doctor: Ding dong, okay, brilliant. I may be a bit... rusty in some areas but I will glance at the manual.
Clara: No, no, you're not actually my boyfriend.
The Doctor: Oh, that was quick. It's a roller coaster, this phone call.
Clara: So I may have... accidentally invented a boyfriend.
The Doctor: Yeah, I did that once. And there's no easy way to get rid of an android.
Linda: How's the turkey doing?
Clara: Great, yeah, yeah, it's doing great. Well, dead and decapitated but that's Christmas when you're a turkey. Ha.
The Doctor: Okay, homing in on the mysterious message. Ooh, yes, I like that. "the mysterious message."
Clara: You shaved your head.
The Doctor: Yep. Clever plan to get us past the shield.
Clara: You got bored one night, didn't you?
The Doctor: Yeah, tiny bit bored.
The Doctor: And she's back. (kisses Tasha) Never could resist a row.
Tasha Lem: Kiss me when I ask.
The Doctor: Well, you'd better ask nicely.
Tasha Lem: In your dreams.
Clara: You can fly the TARDIS.
Tasha Lem: Flying the TARDIS was always easy. It was flying the Doctor I never quite mastered.
The Doctor: Are you Barnable?
Young Man: No, Doctor.
The Doctor: It's okay, Barnable, don't worry. I have got a plan. Off you pop. (once he leaves) I haven't got a plan. The people love it when I say that.
Clara: You've been asking the question, and it's time someone told you you've been getting it wrong. His name... his name is the Doctor. All the name he needs and everything you need to know about him. And if you love him, and you should, help him. Help him.
Dalek: The rules of regeneration are broken! You have expended all your lives!
The Doctor: Sorry? What did you say? Did you mention the rules? Now, listen. Bit of advice. Tell me the truth if you think you know it, lay down the law if you're feeling brave. But, Daleks, never ever tell me the rules!
The Doctor: Ooh, it just disappears, doesn't it? Everything you are, gone in a moment like breath on a mirror. Any moment now, he's a-comin'.
Clara: Who's coming?
The Doctor: The Doctor.
Clara: You... you are the Doctor.
The Doctor: Yep. And I always will be. But times change, and so must I.
The Doctor: We all change when you think about it. We're all different people, all through our lives. And that's okay, that's good, you got to keep moving so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this, not one day. I swear. I will always remember when the Doctor was me.
The New Doctor: Kidneys! I’ve got new kidneys! I don't like the colour.
Clara: Of your kidneys? (the TARDIS shakes) What's happening?
The New Doctor: We're probably crashing! Oh!
Clara: Into what?
The New Doctor: Stay calm. Just one question. Do you happen to know how to fly this thing?
Clara: Emergency. You're my boyfriend.
The Doctor: Ding dong, okay, brilliant. I may be a bit... rusty in some areas but I will glance at the manual.

Christmas Special: The Time of the Doctor
Summary:
Clara phones the Doctor because she needs a date for her family Christmas dinner. When he's finally there, Clara asks him to help her with the turkey and they go off in the Tardis. The Doctor is interested in a planet from which a signal is sent through the whole universe and all the foes of the Doctor are there. His old friend Tasha Lem brings him and Clara down onto the planet and they arrive in a town called Christmas. They soon find out, that the signal comes from the Time Lords and the Doctor only has to speak his name and they would come back. The only thing is, that he can't bring them back because the planet the Doctor is on is Trenzalore and the Time War would break out again. The Doctor sends Clara away to keep her save and guards the planet for centuries. When his end is near, Tasha brings Clara back and she begs the Time Lords to help the Doctor. Will they do what she's asking for?
This was another brilliant Doctor Who Christmas episode and I liked how Steven Moffat explained so many loose story ends concerning the silence, the Time Lords and the crack in the wall. Although this episode has many funny moments like the one with the turkey or when the Doctor suddenly has no hair anymore but it's also very sad. For me it had a sad touch all the time because it's the last episode of the Eleventh Doctor and it kind of broke your heart to see him age like this. The Doctor gave us the explanation about his regenerations and that he doesn't have one left, so this is his last face. Luckily Clara's speech meant something to the Time Lords and we have still more episodes to come. All in all, this was a great Christmas episode, although some of the ones before were more Christmassy than this one. Really worth to watch.

Special: The End of Time, Part One
Summary:
The Doctor has delayed his visit to the Ood and now wonders why they have advanced so fast. The Ood tell him that the Master will return to Earth but there something much worse returning in his wake. After hearing that, the Doctor races back to Earth but he is too late to stop the resurrection of the Master. Meanwhile, Wilfred is searching for the Doctor and gets help from some of his friends. They find him while he hunts the Master, who is a homeless now. The Doctor and Wilfred start to talk and Wilfred begs the Doctor to talk to Donna who is just outside the café. When the Doctor says he can't do it or she'll die, Wilfred is sad but then the Doctor suddenly tells him that he will die soon and that he has to stop the Master. They part and the Doctor searches the Master. He finds him and the Master lets him hear the drums in his head before he gets kidnapped. Together with Wilfred the Doctor follows the trail of the Master but what does he want with the medical arc?
"The End of Time" is the first part of the Tenth Doctor's final moments. The episode has many funny but also many heartbreaking moments. It's so sad to see the feelings on the Doctor's face when he watches Donna from afar but he can't talk to her and when he tells Wilfred that he will die soon. This is just heartbreaking and makes it even harder to think about the imminent regeneration of the Doctor. On the other hand, it's brilliant that they have brought the Master back as the last foe of Ten. Their relationship is always one that lies somewhere between hate and love because they know each other so well. It's quite creepy when the Master takes over the human race and you can see this insane guy dressed in different clothes all over the world. That's something that you wouldn't want to happen in reality. Having Wilfred as a companion in this episode is so lovely because he brings so much fun into this dark episode and the Doctor needs someone like him by his side in his last days. Oh, and with a cliffhanger like this, you just can't wait for the next part to happen.

Quotes from "The Snowmen"
Madame Vastra: Was she nice?
The Doctor: I just spoke to her.
Madame Vastra: And made your usual impact, no doubt.
The Doctor: No, no impact at all. Those days are over.
Madame Vastra: You can't help yourself. It's the same story every time and it always begins with the same two words.
The Doctor: She'll never be able to find me again. She doesn't even have the name. "Doctor." What two words?
Clara: Doctor? Doctor who?
The Doctor: When you find something brand-new in the world, something you've never seen before, what's the next thing you look for?
Strax: A grenade!
The Doctor: A profit. That's Victorian values for you.
Strax: I suggest a full-frontal assault with automated laser-monkeys, scuttle mines, and acid.
The Doctor: Why?
Strax: Couldn't we at least investigate?
The Doctor: I've had a thousand years of saving the universe, Strax. You know the one thing I've learned? The universe doesn't care.
The Doctor: Sontaran. Clone warrior race, factory produced, whole legions at a time. Two genders is a bit further than he can count.
Strax: Sir, do not discuss my reproductive cycle in front of enemy girls. It's embarrassing.
The Doctor: Typical middle child of six million.
The Doctor: Clara who?
Clara: Doctor who?
The Doctor: Oh, dangerous question.
Clara: What's wrong with dangerous?
Great Intelligence: Tomorrow the snow will fall and so will mankind.
Strax: Do not attempt to escape or you will be obliterated. May I take your coat?
The Doctor: Nice office. Big globey thing. Now, don't tell me. I see from your collar, sir, you have an apple tree and a wife with a limp. Am I right?
Dr Simeon: No.
The Doctor: Do you have a wife?
Dr Simeon: No.
The Doctor: Bit of a tree? Bit of a wife? Some apples? Come on, work with me here.
The Doctor: Talking snow. I love new things.
Great Intelligence: You are not of this world.
The Doctor: It takes one to snow one.
The Doctor: What are you doing here?
Strax: Madame Vastra wondered if you were needing any grenades.
The Doctor: Grenades?
Strax: She might have said "help."
The Doctor: Don't be clever, Strax. It doesn't suit you.
Strax: Sorry, sir.
The Doctor: I'm the clever one. You're the potato one.
Strax: Yes, sir.
The Doctor: Now go away.
Strax: Yes... Mr. Holmes.
The Doctor: Oy. Shut up! You're not clever or funny. And you got tiny little legs.
Strax: It's the human male from the Institute. What's he doing here? Suggest we melt his brain using projectile acid weapons and then interrogate him. (Vastra and Jenny stare) Other way around.
Francesca: Is it one of your stories? Your definitely true ones?
Clara: Ha. All my stories are true.
Digby: Like how you hid a bomb behind the face of Big Ben.
Clara: Accounting for my acute sense of time.
Francesca: And you invented fish.
Clara: Because I dislike swimming alone.
Strax: Sir, please do not noogie me during combat prep.
The Doctor: Oy, I told you to stay in here.
Clara: Oh. I didn't listen.
The Doctor: You do that a lot.
Clara: So you like me.
The Doctor: Who said I like you? (Clara kisses him)
Clara: I think you just did.
The Doctor: You kissed me.
Clara: You blushed.
The Doctor: I... when... shut up!
Clara: After you.
The Doctor: After you.
Clara: After you. I'm wearing a dress. Eyes front, soldier.
The Doctor: My eyes are always front. (starts climbing)
Clara: Mine aren't.
The Doctor: Stop it.
Clara: No.
Clara: Look at this.
The Doctor: Go on, say it. Most people do.

Christmas Special: The Next Doctor
Summary:
The Doctor lands in London in 1851 ad finds himself right in the Christmas spirit when he hears a woman calling his name. Soon he finds out that the woman didn't call him but another man who says he is the Doctor. To unravel this secret and also different deaths he follows the next Doctor. It seems that the Cybermen are in London but it's not really clear what they want or how they came here. While the Doctor investigates the strange happenings with the other Doctor, he finds out that the other man is human with the information of himself in his head. Together they find the place where the Cybermen bring all the children who shall work for them. The Cybermen turn Mrs Hartigan into a Cyberking but they haven't expected that she would be stronger as they are and now she has the intelligence of the Cybermen and the feelings of a human. The Doctor and his companions are able to save the children before they are killed and the Doctor faces Mrs Hartigan. He gives her a chance to retreat to another planet but when she refuses he does what he has to do to save London and the people.
"The Next Doctor" is a great Christmas Special and for a time you don't really now if you see a future Doctor or not because he so much like the Doctor himself. I liked the Cybermen in this episode and how they tried to take over London. Mrs Hartigan is quite spooky as Cyberking because she still has all her emotions which is not normal for the Cybermen. In the end the Doctor doesn't kill her but she destroys herself. It just isn't like the Doctor to kill someone and he gives everybody a chance. The Doctor is lonely again in this Christmas Special after he had to wipe Donna's memory. He seems to be a bit sad again but he finds a great companion in Jackson and it's so lovely to see them go together for a Christmas dinner at the end. The special effects are amazing again, especially when you look at the Cyberking. The episode has a lovely Christmas feeling and it definitely doesn't lack the action you expect from Doctor Who.

Quotes from "The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe"
The Doctor: I can't see! I'm blind!
Madge Arwell: Oh, no, love, no. I think you've just got your helmet on backwards. How did you manage that?
The Doctor: I got dressed in a hurry.
The Doctor: I just need to find the, uh... the key.
Madge Arwell: Ooh, do you want me to do it with a pin? I'm good with a pin.
The Doctor: Multidimensional, triple-encoded temporal interface. Not really susceptible to pointy things.
Madge Arwell: Got it.
The Doctor: Okay. Suddenly, the last 900 years of time travel seem a bit less secure.
The Doctor: Right, then. May I take your cases?
Madge Arwell: Thank you.
Lily Arwell: Thank you.
Cyril Arwell: Thank you.
The Doctor: Lovely. Would you mind carrying them for me? I need to show you around.
Madge Arwell: Are you the new caretaker?
The Doctor: Usually called "The Doctor." Or "The Caretaker." Or "get off this planet." Though, strictly speaking, that probably isn't a name.
The Doctor: Mum's bedroom. Grown-up. Your basic boring. Lily and Cyril's room. I'm going to be honest--masterpiece! The ultimate bedroom. Sciency wiency workbench, a jungle, a maze, a window disguised as a mirror, a mirror disguised as a window, a selection of torches for midnight feasts and secret reading, zen garden, mysterious cupboard zone of tranquility, rubber wall, dream tank, exact model of the rest of the house--not quite to scale, apologizes--dolls with comical expressions .The Magna Carta, a football, Cluedo!, a yellow ball.
Cyril Arwell: Where are the beds?
The Doctor: Well, I couldn't fit everything in. There had to be sacrifices. Anyway, who needs beds when you've got... hammocks! I know.
Cyril Arwell: How do you get on?
The Doctor: Watch and learn, kid. (throws himself in, misses)
Madge Arwell: For god's sake.
The Doctor: That hammock has developed a fault.
Madge Arwell: I don't know why I keep shouting at them.
The Doctor: Because every time you see them happy, you remember how sad they're going to be. And it breaks your heart. Because what's the point in them being happy now if they're going to be sad later? The answer is, of course, because they are going to be sad later.
Lily Arwell: Well, what are you doing?
The Doctor: Rewiring.
Lily Arwell: Why would you rewire a wardrobe?
The Doctor: Have you seen the way I dress?
Ven-Garr: Sorry, sir, she's wearing wool, sir. Natural fabrics, they interfere with...
Droxil: Please say we can tell the difference between wool and sidearms.
Ven-Garr: We can tell the difference, sir.
Droxil: Can we?
Ven-Garr: Not always, sir, no.
Billis: Sir, I think she's a time traveler.
Droxil: And we're sure it's not her cardigan?
Droxil: Ma'am, please stop crying. I can't interrogate you while you're crying. This is a military engagement! There's no crying in military engagements!
Billis: Um, sir, uh, with regret. I'm going to have to lower my gun.
Droxil: Why?
Billis: She is a crying, unarmed, female civilian. I'm thinking of the visual.
Droxil: Nobody's looking.
Billis: Doesn't mean there's no visual.
Droxil: That's exactly what "nobody's looking" means. It means there's no visual!
The Doctor: Happy crying. Humany wumany.
Reg Arwell: What the hell was that?
Madge Arwell: Just the caretaker returning to the Time Vortex. It's a lovely place. I've been there myself. Shall we go downstairs?
Amy: So, you’re not dead.
The Doctor: And a Happy New Year!
Madge Arwell: Oh, no, love, no. I think you've just got your helmet on backwards. How did you manage that?

Christmas Special: The Snowmen
Summary:
Clara works as a waitress in a pub and when she goes out a snowman appears suddenly. The Doctor walks past but he isn't very interested in the snowman. Somehow Clara is really fascinated by him and follows the Doctor's coach. They encounter the snowmen again but when Clara envisions them melting, they really do. The Doctor tries to erase her memory of the events but he isn't able to do so, so he just puts her in his coach and Strax should bring her home. Clara still follows him and there she sees the Tardis on a cloud. The next morning she returns to her duties as a governess but something strange happens on the grounds of Captain Lattimer's house. There is a pond that is still frozen where the old governess died. Clara tries to find the Doctor again but Jenny finds her first and brings her to Madame Vastra where she has to answer some question why the Doctor should help her. It seems that Clara has found the exact right word and soon the Doctor is back in the game. The old governess appears again as an ice woman who is wanted by Dr Simeon. Can the Doctor save the world from ice people and more important, can he save Clara?
I think this really was a great Christmas Special. It gave me some of the Christmas feelings with the snow and everything that I miss in reality. Yes, I know the snow was an alien life form but it looked pretty nonetheless. Vastra, Jenny and Strax are a brilliant trio and it's just great to see them all together. Strax is just funny in an unintentional way and he often makes you smile. We've met Clara before as a Dalek but after this Christmas Special it's still not clear who she really is. I think this puzzle is also the reason why the Doctor starts to travel again after the loss of the Ponds. Vastra, Jenny and Strax tried their best to keep him company but he needed Clara to get him out of his Scrooge mood. The Snowmen are really terrifying and maybe we will see them again in the future because the Doctor hasn't really defeated them in the end. The Great Intelligence is still out there somewhere and it probably wasn't the last time we have encountered it. Well, you can argue about the new design of the Tardis as well. I don't know what to think about it right now because it looks so totally different than before but I guess I'll get used to it. It has a kind of modern touch to it now and some parts look a bit futuristic. I'm really looking forward to the rest of series 7 and I want to know what the mystery behind Clara is.

Christmas Special: Voyage of the Damned
Summary:
After a ship has crashed into the Tardis, the Doctor materializes on board and finds himself on a cruise ship. The people on it are from a far away galaxy and they have come to earth to celebrate Christmas. The Doctor mingles with the crowd and soon meets Astrid, who is a waitress on board. Together they go down to earth because the Doctor wants to show Astrid another planet. He wonders why London is so empty and soon finds out that nearly everyone has left the city because of the alien attacks the years before. Back on the ship, the captain lowers the shields and draw some asteroids towards it. The ship is hit and many people die but now the Titanic is moving towards earth. With the help of Astrid and some others, the Doctor tries to stop the crash of the ship but they are attacked by the hosts, angel like figures. Who is behind all this and can the Doctor save the lives of his friends?
The episode starts with such a brilliant moment when the Titanic crashes into the Tardis and the Doctor is just surprised how this could have happened. He looks very good in a smoking and he totally fits into the group of guests on the spaceship. It wouldn't be a normal Christmas episode of Doctor Who if there wasn't someone who wants to destroy the earth and this time it's the former leader of the cruise ship line who wants to retire comfortably. The hosts who are under his control are a quite scary version of the Christmas Angels but at least you are able to blink when you look at them. In Astrid the Doctor finds a new companion and it's sad to see that he has to loose her again so soon. I think Kylie Minogue plays her brilliantly and it would have been great to see her more often. The bit close to the end with the Queen is great and always makes me smile when I watch it. In the end we have another snowy Christmas in London with snow from the ashes of a space ship.

Christmas Special: The Runaway Bride
Summary:
The Doctor has just lost Rose but suddenly a bride appears in his Tardis and he doesn't know how she got there. Donna finds out soon, that the Doctor is an alien and demands that he brings her back to her wedding. They land in London but nowhere near the church and Donna takes a taxi to get there. The Doctor sees that the taxi is driven by a robot Santa, which he knows from last Christmas and knows that Donna is in great danger. He saves her from the taxi and gives her a bio damper, so nobody is able to find her. The Doctor brings Donna to her reception but soon the robot Santas appear again and he finds out that she has huon particles in her, which also brought her into the Tardis. Donna and Lance accompany the Doctor to their working place and the find a secret passage that was build by Torchwood. Under London's flood barrier they find a hole and come in contact with the Racnoss. Lance works for the aliens and he was the one who gave Donna the huon particles. What do the Racnoss want and can the Doctor save himself and Donna?
Donna is just the perfect person for the Doctor to meet after he has lost Rose. She is feisty and a mystery to him and that is exactly what he needed. You feel a bit sorry for Donna because the guy she wants to marry doesn't love her and has used her as a key for the aliens but she is a person who will get over this. It's just not her thing to live in the past and even if she's a bit dumb from time to time she often hits the nail on the head with what she's saying. The Doctor needs people like Donna to tell him when he has to stop, people who say it's enough when he fights someone. The spaceship of the Racnoss is perfect for Christmas because it looks like a star and supports the Christmas feeling a bit. I think it's quite cute when the Doctor lets it snow for Donna just to let her feel a bit more Christmassy. It's an interesting idea that a Racnoss ship is the core of earth and that earth only exists because of this ship. In this episode we also get the first hint about Harold Saxon, who will play a big role in series 3.

Quotes from "The Next Doctor"
Today I have some quotes from the series 4 Christmas Special "The Next Doctor" for you.
The Next Doctor: What have we got here, then?
The Doctor: Hold on, who are you?
The Next Doctor: I'm the Doctor. Simply the Doctor. The one, the only and the best.
The Next Doctor: I should introduce Rosita, my faithful companion. Always telling me off.
The Doctor: Well, they do, don't they?
The Doctor: But I've heard all about you, Doctor. Bit of a legend if I say so myself.
The Next Doctor: Modesty forbids me to agree with you, sir. But yes. Yes, I am.
The Next Doctor: It's strange, though. I talk of Cybermen from the stars, and you don't blink, Mr. Smith.
The Doctor: Ah, don't blink, remember that? Whatever you do, don't blink. The blinking and the statues with Sally and the angels. No?
The Next Doctor: You're a very odd man.
The Doctor: Mmm. I still am.
The Next Doctor: Then I beg you, John, help me.
The Doctor: Ah. Two words I never refuse.
Miss Hartigan: Man that is born of woman hath but a short time to live. Although I've got some friends who might disagree with that. Would you like to meet them? Hark! I can hear them now. (The Cybermen arrive)
The Next Doctor: With all the things a Time Lord has seen, everything he's lost, he must surely have bad dreams.
The Doctor: Yeah.
The Next Doctor: There she is. My transport through time and space. The TARDIS!
The Doctor: You've got a balloon.
The Next Doctor: TARDIS. T - A - R - D - I - S. It stands for Tethered Aerial Release Developed in Style. Do you see?
The Doctor: Well, I do now. I like it. Good TARDIS.
Cyberman: You are the Doctor.
The Doctor: (waves; grins) Hello.
Miss Hartigan: But you promised me. You said I would never be converted!
Cyberleader: That was designated a lie.
Jackson Lake: Ladies and gentleman, I know that man! That Doctor on high! And I know that he has done this deed a thousand times. But not once, no, sir, not once not ever has he ever been thanked. But no more, for I say to you on this Christmas Morn, bravo, sir!
Jackson Lake: Tell me one thing. All those facts and figures I saw of the Doctor's life, you were never alone. All those bright and shining companions. But not any more?
The Doctor: No.
Jackson Lake: Might I ask why not?
The Doctor: They leave. Because they should or because they find someone else. And some of them, some of them … forget me. I suppose in the end, they break my heart.
The Doctor: Jackson, if anyone had to be the Doctor, I'm glad it was you.

Christmas Special: The Christmas Invasion
Summary:
The Doctor lands the Tardis in London before he faints. Rose puts him into bed at her Mum's flat and the only thing she, Jackie and Mickey can do is to wait until he wakes up again. It is Christmas and Rose and Mickey go out to do some Christmas shopping but they aren't able to spend some time together because strange figures dressed as Santa start to shoot at them. When they are back at Rose's place there is a different Christmas tree standing in the living room. The tree suddenly gets alive and Rose can wake the Doctor who saves them but they have woken him too soon and he is unconscious again. Then an alien ship turns up and hovers above London. Rose and the other hide with the Doctor in the Tardis and Rose has to play the ambassador of the human race because the Doctor is not awake yet. On the ship she meets Harriet Jones again and soon they notice that the Doctor is awake again. Can he send the aliens back to where they came from?
The first ever Christmas Special of New Who and we already have to get used to a new Doctor. You don't see that much of the Doctor in this episode because he often lies somewhere and is unconscious but in my opinion that's a good way to introduce him. Rose doesn't know what she thinks about this new Doctor and she doesn't know if he still wants to travel with her, which gives the episode an exciting edge. It is so great to see Harriet Jones again and I'm glad that they brought her back into the show. It's a bit like a running gag when she still shows her ID to everybody and even the aliens know who she is. One moment I really like is the fight scene between the Doctor and the Sycorax leader when his hand grows back because he is still in his regeneration phase. When Rose watches him sleep, you just want to tell her that everything will be alright. I can understand why Harriet told Torchwood they should destroy the retreating ship but I can also understand the Doctor who doesn't want to kill someone who capitulated. This must have been Torchwood London, which is destroyed later and it wasn't Jack who fired this weapon because he is the leader of Torchwood Cardiff. It's a bit sad that the snow at the end of the episode is no snow but ash but it's nice to know that the Doctor still wants to have Rose as a companion.

The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe
That was such a Christmassy Christmas episode and I really liked it. Now I wish that I could have snow here as well.
Summary:
The Doctor is on an exploding spaceship and tries to get off of it. He lands on Earth in a spacesuit and Madge brings him to the Tardis. Three years later Madge gets the news that the plane of her husband won't come back from the war but she doesn't want to tell her children on Christmas. They land in a country house where the Doctor acts as the caretaker. Cyril can't wait to open the big blue present in the sitting room and vanishes into a snowy forest. When the Doctor and Lily follow him, the Doctor notices that something is wrong. Will they be able to find Cyril, get out of the forest and be home for Christmas? Does Madge have to tell her children that their father is dead?
Naturally, the episode reminds you a bit of Narnia because of the title and the snowy forest but that's fine for me. The Doctor was mad as ever and I really loved the scene at the end. I somehow had the feeling that the story was still a bit short and there could have been so much more in it but maybe that is just me feeling this way. It could have gone forever...that's probably the Christmas feeling and because this is the last new episode for quite a while.
I liked the "companions" of the Doctor, especially the kids were great. Some characters would probably have been better with a bit more of screen time. The story was very sweet and the Doctor had some great moments and everything was very christmassy. I think, the story lets you sigh and call for more and it is perfect for Christmas. Sometimes I would really like to know if Matt is so sweet in reality too but that will probably never happen. I have to say again that I like how he plays his Doctor and I can't understand the people who whine about him. For me they are no real Doctor Who fans. Well enough of that. Merry Christmas everyone.

The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe
Quotes from "The Runaway Bride"
Today you get quotes from the series 2 special "The Runaway Bride".
Donna: Who are you?
The Doctor: I am the Doctor. And who are you?
Donna: Donna.
The Doctor: Human?
Donna: Yeah. Is that optional?
The Doctor: It is with me.
The Doctor: Weird, you're not special, you're not powerful, you're not connected, you're not clever, you're not important...?
Donna: This friend of yours, just before she left, did she punch you in the face?
The Doctor: Only a madmen talks to thin air and trust me, you don’t want to make me mad.
The Empress of the Racnoss: Prepare your best medicines, Doctor-man!
The Doctor: Oh but I'm not from Mars.
The Empress of the Racnoss: Then where?
The Doctor: My home planet is far away and long since gone. But its name lives on...Gallifrey.
The Doctor: It was all in the job title: head of human resources.
Lance: This time, it's personnel.
(Lance and the Empress of the Racnoss start laughing)
The Doctor: (referring to the TARDIS) I've got to park her properly or she might drift off to the Middle Ages.
Donna: Will I see you again?
The Doctor: If I'm lucky.
Donna: Just promise me one thing. Find someone.
The Doctor: I don't need anyone.
Donna: Yes, you do. Because sometimes, I think you need someone to stop you.
The Doctor: Yeah.
Donna: Who are you?

Doctor Who - Children in Need 2011
You have probably already seen this video everywhere but I want to post it too. Here is the Children in Need clip with a striptease of Matt Smith as the Doctor and the first trailer of the upcoming Christmas special, which has the title "The Doctor, the widow and the wardrobe". Sounds very promising.
