Series 7 Episode 5: The Angels take Manhattan

Summary:
A private detective in Manhattan gets the job to search for living statues. When he comes to the address he was given, he sees himself dying and is zapped back in time. The Doctor, Amy and Rory are in Central Park in New York and enjoy a day off but then Rory doesn't come back and they start to search for him. Soon they find out, that the book the Doctor was reading is true and was written by River. Rory was zapped back in time and meets his daughter there who works as a private detective and investigates the angels. They get kidnapped but the Doctor can lock into Rivers signal and he and Amy land in the correct time. When they get there River is held captive by an angel and Rory was brought somewhere else. Soon they find out that the angels rule Manhattan and that they can only save Rory when they create a paradox. So, he and Amy jump off a house and therefore save everyone else. When everyone thinks all is normal again, a single angel appears and takes Rory back in time. Is the Doctor able to fix everything this time?

Wow, what a brilliant episode and such a great way for Amy and Rory to leave. I was a bit surprised at the beginning because the episode doesn't start like a normal Doctor Who episode but it's kind of cool to first get a look at the story and then add the Doctor into it. It's totally crazy that all statues in New York are alive and it's really a creepy thought. The Weeping Angels are as scary as ever, maybe even scarier if that is still possible. I don't know if I can look at the Statue of Liberty no than I did before. I'll probably remember this episode when I see a picture of it in the future. I think it was a good decision that River is in this episode but that the main focus isn't on her but on Amy and Rory. Now we also know why she isn't in prison anymore and that she's really married to the Doctor. I don't know if that's only my impression but it feels like the Doctor and River are heading in the same direction in time right now but I'm not so sure about that. I really loved the ending although it was very sad and now we also know whom Amy really loved. She still loves the Doctor but she loves Rory more and in the end she can't live without him. A very sad but also a great ending for the Ponds.

Series 7 Episode 5: The Power of Three

Summary:
One day small black cubes land everywhere on earth and even the Doctor doesn't know why they are here. He stays with the Pond's for a while but he's just too restless to monitor the cubes for a longer time. So he leaves Amy, Rory and Brian, Rory's Dad, in charge of monitoring the cubes. UNIT also shows an interest in them and contacts the Doctor. For a couple of months nothing happens and the people get used to these cubes and take them into their homes. Suddenly all the cubes show some signs of activity but they all behave differently and still the Doctor doesn't know what happens. Then there is a count down and when some of the cubes open, people suffer from cardiac arrest. The Doctor's left heart stops as well but soon he finds a portal and he Amy and Rory are on board of a ship in orbit. The cubes shall destroy humanity but will they manage to do so?

Maybe I have to watch this episode again but right now I don't think it's as good as the other ones before, which doesn't mean that it hasn't got an interesting story. The slow invasion is a great idea and I liked to see some of the daily Pond life. It showed again how the Doctor and the Pond's are connected and how they kind of depend on each other. There were many funny moments and I liked how the Doctor played tennis or made some other normal stuff, which looks so crazy when he does it. I can't put my finger on it but somehow I missed something in this episode. I really don't know what but the other episodes before were a bit better in my opinion. Nonetheless, "The Power of Three" is another good episode of series 7 and I hope the next one will be a smasher with the Pond's leaving and the Weeping Angels.

Series 7 Episode 3: A Town Called Mercy

Summary:
The Doctor, Amy and Rory land in a western town with a border around it. The first unsettling thing they encounter is electric lamps and then there is an alien doctor who is hunted by the Gunslinger. The marshal and the people of the town won't give the alien doctor to the Gunslinger and therefore they are trapped in their town. When the Doctor hears this story he decides to evacuate everyone in his Tardis but for that he has to ride out of town. On his way, he finds the ship of the other doctor and soon finds out that he isn't as good as he thought. He was one of the people who built the Gunslinger, who's a cyborg and now wants revenge. Amy can convince the Doctor that he can't be the judge of the other alien and then it comes to a showdown at noon with a surprising ending.

This was another great episode with many funny moments. I loved the part when the Doctor said he could speak horse and the horse wanted to be called Susan. These lines are just brilliant and hey the Doctor was allowed to wear a Stetson again. Ben Browder looked so different in this episode than in Stargate but I liked his character as well. It seems that some time has passed between the dinosaurs and this episode because the Doctor shows some of his ruthless signs he always does when he travels alone for too long. That's a thing that doesn't change with the regenerations. The costumes and make-up, especially for the Gunslinger, were brilliant again and everything really added up to this western feel, although the episode was filmed in Spain. The story was not as complex as some other stories but I didn't mind because in between you need some episodes with a calmer pace and straight forward story telling. I really love the new series so far.

Series 7 Episode 1: Asylum of the Daleks

Summary:
The Doctor is called to Skaro but it's a trap and he's taken prisoner by the Daleks. The same thing happens to Amy and Rory and soon all three are together on a spaceship. They are facing the council of the Daleks who send them down into the Asylum, which is like a prison for all the mad Daleks. Down there they find Oswin, who helps them to avoid the Daleks who want to kill them but why does Oswin do this? She crashed on the planet a year ago and the Doctor wonders why she is still human and not a Dalek puppet. While they try to drop the force field so the planet can be destroyed, Amy slowly turns into a Dalek as well. Is the Doctor still able to save everyone or will he perish with the Asylum?

The first episode of series 7 and it was amazing. I didn't expect it to be that good and I surely didn't expect to see Jenna-Lousie Coleman in it who will become the new companion of the Doctor later in the series. I wonder how they will resolve this problem with her being a Dalek who has been destroyed now. Maybe it's her past version who will be travelling with the Doctor. Oh, I don't know and I don't want to speculate about it right now. I thought it was so sad to see Amy and Rory sign the divorce in the first couple of minutes of the episode but you  already knew of their problem when you've watched "Pond Life". Well, I'm happy they are back together. It's kind of cool that the Daleks have forgotten the Doctor now, I definitely wouldn't have expected that. I'm still a bit flashed from the first episode and I'm so looking forward to the next one.

The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe

That was such a Christmassy Christmas episode and I really liked it. Now I wish that I could have snow here as well.

Summary:
The Doctor is on an exploding spaceship and tries to get off of it. He lands on Earth in a spacesuit and Madge brings him to the Tardis. Three years later Madge gets the news that the plane of her husband won't come back from the war but she doesn't want to tell her children on Christmas. They land in a country house where the Doctor acts as the caretaker. Cyril can't wait to open the big blue present in the sitting room and vanishes into a snowy forest. When the Doctor and Lily follow him, the Doctor notices that something is wrong. Will they be able to find Cyril, get out of the forest and be home for Christmas? Does Madge have to tell her children that their father is dead?

Naturally, the episode reminds you a bit of Narnia because of the title and the snowy forest but that's fine for me.  The Doctor was mad as ever and I really loved the scene at the end. I somehow had the feeling that the story was still a bit short and there could have been so much more in it but maybe that is just me feeling this way. It could have gone forever...that's probably the Christmas feeling and because this is the last new episode for quite a while.
I liked the "companions" of the Doctor, especially the kids were great. Some characters would probably have been better with a bit more of screen time. The story was very sweet and the Doctor had some great moments and everything was very christmassy. I think, the story lets you sigh and call for more and it is perfect for Christmas. Sometimes I would really like to know if Matt is so sweet in reality too but that will probably never happen. I have to say again that I like how he plays his Doctor and I can't understand the people who whine about him. For me they are no real Doctor Who fans. Well enough of that. Merry Christmas everyone.

SJA: The Man Who Never Was, Part 2

This is it. The last episode of "The Sarah Jane Adventures".

Summary:
Sarah Jane, Luke and Sky are captured after they find out that Mr Serf is a hologram, which is operated by aliens. The aliens are slaves and are punished when they don't do what they should. Rani and Clyde sneak into the launch of the computer and can get the punishment pen but loose it again shortly afterwards. Mr Smith call for help for the aliens and in the end the can be rescued.

The second part of this episode was great too and I really liked the scene when Sky and Luke controlled the hologram. The alien were cute as well and they weren't bad, which you thought after the first part. It is really sad that the series is over now but it wouldn't have worked without Elisabeth Sladen and I'm glad that they haven't tried to do it without her. I really liked that they showed scenes from the whole series at the end of this episode to get a nice ending and they had a scene with David Tennant too. We will miss you Liz!

SJA: The Man Who Never Was, Part 1

That was a fun episode but at the same time it's sad because it's nearly the last one.

Summary:
Luke comes home from university and he and Sky meet for the first time. Sarah Jane is invited to a rehearsal of the launch of a new computer and takes Luke and Sky with her. Both see a glitch in the man who invented it and so Sarah Jane tries to get an interview with Mr Serf to find out what he is. During her interview she tries to touch him but he is a hologram. Sky and Luke go into the cellar of the building and find out that he is operated by aliens.

I really like this episode and it was nice to see how Sky and Luke reacted during their first meeting. Poor Rani and Clyde had to stay home while the family was out to investigate but that's not bad because we had the Clyde episode last week. I hope we get to know more about the aliens and if this other guy is an alien too or just a human who uses the aliens for his purpose. Well, I will know soon.

The Man Who Never Was, Part 1

SJA: The Curse of Clyde Langer, Part 2

I was right, that the curse has no effect on Sky. Luckily.

Summary:
Clyde meets Ellie who lives on the street. She is the only one who helps him and shows him save places to sleep or where he gets something to eat. Sky tries everything to find out why everyone suddenly hates Clyde and she finds out that it is because of his name. The totem pole is something alien and only Clyde can help them to destroy it.

I liked the second part of this episode because it also showed something of real life. People living on the streets are normally nothing the people like to talk about. Here the people probably where all actors but they have shown it at least. So, Clyde activated the totem pole when he got the splinter and I guess we don't really want to know what would have happened if the gang wouldn't have been able to stop what ever was in this pole. Maybe Sky is too much an alien that she wasn't effected by the curse. It would have been nice if Clyde had found Ellie again.

SJA: The Curse of Clyde Langer, Part 1

Poor Clyde. That's really not fair what happened to him.

Summary:
When Sky and Sarah Jane sit in Haresh's office in the school it suddenly starts to rain fish. The gang finds out that there are some totem poles in the museum and investigate them. Sarah Jane can't detect anything alien but Clyde touches the statue and gets a splinter in his finger. The next day, everyone turns against Clyde when they say his name and Clyde think he is cursed. He has nowhere to go to.

I don't know if this is a curse or if it's something alien but I feel a bit sorry for Clyde. He can be annoying from time to time but he hasn't deserved this. Sky seems to be the only one who isn't affected by the curse and I hope she will help Clyde to make everything right again. I liked the part with the fish raining from the sky. I hope they haven't killed innocent fish for that.

The Curse of Clyde Langer, Part 1

SJA: Sky, Part 1

So these are the last episodes of the Sarah Jane Adventures and it is somehow bitter sweet to see Elisabeth Sladen in her role as Sarah Jane again.

Summary:
Luke is still at the university and Sarah Jane feels a bit alone at home until one night someone leaves a baby on her doorstep. She soon finds out that the baby is not from earth because it blows up everything that is electronic, when it cries. Sarah Jane names her Sky. While Clyde watches her, Sarah Jane and Rani investigate an asteroid impact but they find a witness who tells them about a metal man who fell from the sky. Clyde is attacked by this metal man and is saved by Sky's mother who brings him and the baby to a nuclear power plant. Is she really Sky's mother or is the little girl a weapon in a war?

I really enjoy the episodes of "The Sarah Jane Adventures" even if they are made for children. Sarah Jane seems to attract children from out of space but Sky's story is not the same as Luke's. I will really miss the acting of Liz but we can always go back and see her on Doctor Who or SJA. I think this episode was a nice start for a new series and I'm looking forward to the second part of Sky.

Sky, Part 1

Series 6 Episode 13: The Wedding of River Song

He did it! He really did it! Clever man. Brilliant! I just wanted to say, thank you Steven Moffat for this episode, at the beginning of my review. If you haven't watched the episode yet, please stop reading now.

Summary:
We are in a strange London where different times seem to be mixed. Then there is Winston Churchill, the Emperor, who wants to know why it is always the same time and date. They bring him a prisoner who should explain everything to him and the prisoner is the Doctor dressed as a Roman. He tells Winston why the time has stopped and the reason is, that River hasn't killed him in Utah and they are now in a different time stream where all of history happens at once. The Silence is hunting him but he is saved by Amy who can remember everything, despite being in an alternative timeline. She brings him to Egypt where they have trapped the Silence and worked on a plan to save him. The Silence escape and the Doctor knows the only thing that can heal time is his death. He marries River and then she kills him. Time starts again and my is visited by River who tells her some spoilers about the Doctor. 

That was a really brilliant episode. It has answered a lot of questions but there are still more, which need to be answered. I always thought River had killed a Ganger Doctor but now it was this alien suit thing, which had the appearance of the Doctor. So, River hasn't really killed the Doctor but she is in prison to convince the Silence that she has killed him, so they don't hunt him down anymore. That is probably the reason why it's always so easy for her to escape from prison. We will probably see more of the Silence then, when the time of the first question comes closer and what else could be the most important question in the world, than who the Doctor really is. It is still unclear what the Doctor whispered into River's ear. I don't think that the only thing he told her, is that she wouldn't kill him. There has to be more. I liked the explanation for the eye patches, really good. Finally, I can say that "The Wedding of River Song" was a brilliant series finale, thanks again Mr. Moffat, and I'm already looking forward to the Christmas Special.

Series 6 Episode 12: Closing Time

That was a really nice episode with the Doctor and Craig and some unexpected revelations at the end. As always, if you haven't watched the episode yet, stop reading now.

Summary:
The Doctor visits Craig again before he has to die but then he finds out about some strange power issues and has to investigate these. Craig is alone with his baby for the weekend but he helps the Doctor with his investigations and soon they find out that the Cybermen are behind everything. Amy and Rory are in the same shop where the Doctor investigates but he doesn't go over and just watches them. The Doctor can catch a Cybermat which nearly kills Craig but they can deactivate it together. He wants to destroy the Cybermen on his own but Craig comes to help him and destroys the aliens in the end. After the Doctor says goodbye to Craig he goes back to America to die. A young River studies the Doctor but then is forced into the suit of an astronaut by the eye-patch lady.

I really liked this episode because it was funny and the Doctor talking with Craig's baby was just brilliant. It was a nice moment to see Amy and Rory in this episode even if the Doctor didn't talk to them. In this episode the Doctor must be older now then in the one before because he has just one day left until he dies in America which we have seen in the first episode of this series. I didn't think this episode would have any great revelations but now we know that it must haven been the adult River who shot the Doctor and that is the reason why she is in prison. I'm really looking forward to the last episode of this series now because we already know that there will be more Doctor Who and I really want to know how they manage to do this. Very exited.

Closing Time

Series 6 Episode 11: The God Complex

I didn't expect this to happen when I saw the preview of "The God Complex" last week. Now it is only two more episodes until the series finale and then we have to wait until Christmas to watch something new. Please, don't read further when you haven't watched the episode yet.

Summary:
The Doctor, Amy and Rory land in a hotel that looks like one from earth but they can't be on earth. They meet other people there who tell them about the monster who will come and get them and that there is a room for everyone. Soon the first one is killed and the Doctor decides to catch the monster and talk to it. He finds out that the monster, which looks like a Minotaur, is in fact an alien and the hotel they are in is it's prison. The Doctor thinks the alien kills the people because of their fears but after the death of the nurse he realizes that they die because of their faith. When Amy is the next on the list, he tries everything to destroy her faith in him to save her life.

I don't know what to think of this episode yet. I really liked it but in some ways it was quite strange. Again the Tardis brings the Doctor, Rory and Amy to a place where they don't want to go and there they have to face different fears in the rooms of the hotel they are in. I liked the Minotaur, it looked really cool and it was a nice story. So Amy saw herself in her room because this had to be the one where they "defeated" the alien at the end of the episode. The Doctor's room had the number 11, which was a great insider, I think and I wonder what he has seen in his room. Maybe he has seen Amy's and Rory's death and that's the reason why he leaves them at the end of the episode or it was young Amy or River. Who knows? Maybe this question will be answered later or maybe not. Nonetheless, I think it's quite strange that the Doctor leaves Amy and Rory now after all the things they've been through but maybe it's also because what the alien has said before he died. Well, it was an episode that leaves me a bit uneasy and I really don't know what to think about it. It was really great but there are so many open questions now.

The God Complex

Series 6 Episode 10: The Girl Who Waited

This episode had some really great moments in it and I think it was nice to have an episode which was mostly about Amy. Don't read further when you haven't watched the episode yet.

Summary:
The Doctor, Amy and Rory visit a planet but it is under quarantine. Amy pushes the wrong button and lands in a different time stream. Rory and the Doctor promise to help her but when Rory finds Amy, she is 36 years older and has spent this whole time alone. She had to fight the Handbots who would have killed her with kindness. The Doctor asks her to save the young Amy but first she doesn't want to. When she has talked to the young Amy and after the Doctor promises to save them both she agrees and they manage to get both Amys into one time stream. They are able to get back to the Tardis but can both versions of Amy be saved?

This is another episode where we see the Doctor lying. He does that a lot lately and I wonder if we get an explanation for this behaviour of his. Makes him a bit dislikeable but probably more human. The older Amy was great too. I wonder how long Karen had to sit in mask to get that done. As I said before it was a great episode for Amy and the scene between Rory and the older Amy at the end when she is outside of the Tardis is really sad. I wish they could have taken both Amys but that would probably have been a bit strange too. These robots were a bit freaky too. I don't want to stand in front of one of them.  I wonder if everybody in this facility is alone or if some are living with other people. Well, I really liked the episode but the end was so sad.

Torchwood: Miracle Day: The Blood Line

So that was the final episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day. It's a bit sad that it's over now but it give possibilities for more stories. If you haven't watched the episode yet, please stop reading now.

Summary:
Torchwood follows the trail of Jack's blood and so they are able to find where the Blessing is. Rex and Esther get into contact with the military in Buenos Aires who should help them to get into the house where the Blessing is. Gwen finds the entrance to the Blessing in Shanghai in an alley behind a restaurant. She calls Jack and Oswald to come and join her. Rhys is able to visit Gwen's father one last time before he is sent to the ovens. There is an explosion in Buenos Aires and everyone thinks Rex and Esther are dead which gives them the chance to get into the building without anyone knowing it but Jack's blood is lost. Oswald becomes a human bomb and so they can get in front of the Blessing. There they find out that they can only reverse the Miracle when they fed it with mortal blood from both sides. Is this still possible after Rex and Esther have lost Jack's blood and are they able to sacrifice the people they love for humanity?

I really liked the episode but I think I still don't really know what the Blessing is. Maybe it's just me not knowing it but it doesn't seem to be alien which is a bit disappointing but something that grew inside the earth for a long time and was fed by - I don't know - essence of humanity or something. As always I liked the Jack/Gwen moments and that she killed him instead him killing himself. Well, at least we are rid of Oswald now but part of the families still exist and they are planning their next steps. Jack is immortal again and Rex as well. Wow that was a nice twist at the end but it's a bit sad that Esther is dead. Well, that was Torchwood for now and it's not known if there will be any more Torchwood anytime soon. We will see.

The Blood Line

Series 6 Episode 9: Night Terrors

From now on we know that "Monsters are real!" The newest Doctor Who episode was a bit creepy in my opinion and it had a nice twist. Stop reading now when you haven't watched the episode yet.

Summary:
The Doctor gets a distress call from George, a small boy who is scared of the monsters in his closet. His parents don't know how to help George any more and his father his quite happy when the Doctor arrives at his doorstep to solve the monster problem. Meanwhile Amy and Rory are in an elevator but after it fell down several floors they are in a strange house where everything is made out of wood. The Doctor investigates the closet and finds out that there are really monsters inside and that George is not a normal boy. George is an alien who came to his parents because they wanted a child so badly and now he locks everything he is afraid of into the doll house in his closet. The Doctor and George's father land there as well and George is the only one who can save everybody.

I really liked the new Doctor Who episode and the dolls were so creepy. Who wants to be turned into a doll because of the fears of a small boy? I didn't expect the little boy to be an alien though. I like the two story lines with Amy and Rory in the doll house and the Doctor helping the little boy but it's most of the time Amy and Rory locked up somewhere and the Doctor has to save them. They could think about a different plot line soon. Anyhow it was a nice in between episode which gave us a pause from the big saving the universe thing the Doctor always does and he was back in his normal jacket. I loved the little boy. He was just brilliant.

Night Terrors

Torchwood: Miracle Day: The Gathering

After watching the ninth Torchwood episode, the first thing that came to my mind was: "What the hell is this and how long has it been there?" Stop reading now when you haven't seen the episode yet.

Summary:
Two months after Jack was shot Torchwood is split up. Rex works for the CIA again, Gwen is back at home in Wales and Jack and Esther are hiding in Scotland. Gwen tries to hide her father but the authorities search her home. They don't find him but she is also under surveillance from unknown people. Rex knows there is a mole somewhere in the CIA but he doesn't know who he is so all his traces for the families lead to a dead end. Oswald finds Gwen and demands to talk to Jack, so he comes back and Oswald tells him what he knows about the miracle. Gwen's father is taken to the overflow camp and Torchwood splits up to travel to Buenos Aires and Shanghai to find out what the "Blessing" is.

I really like the episode and it had some great character moments. I don't know but I am not able to like Oswald. He is just creepy and I hate his mumbling voice. The same for Gilly. She sometimes gives my the creeps with her so perfect outside but you never know what she is like inside. It was good to see Gwen back with her family but Rhys feels a bit like a place holder at the moment. He is in the episodes but not really in the action and now he has to stay home again. Well, we know now what the blessing looks like but what the hell is it and how long has it been there? It could be something alien and I guess you have to ask yourself if earth is really just a stone in the universe or if it's something living. We will find out in the last Torchwood episode I guess. But the thing with Jack's blood at the end was quite cool. I hope it will be a great finale next week.

The Gathering

Series 6 Episode 8: Let's kill Hitler

It is so amazing that Doctor Who is back and I really loved the new episode. I'm still excited from watching it and here are my thoughts. Don't read any further when you haven't watched the episode yet.

Summary:
Amy and Rory write a note into a cornfield to contact the Doctor who turns up but then they are joined by Mels and old friend of Amy and Rory. They have to run and Mels shoots the Tardis which crash lands in Hitler's office. Flashbacks show that Amy and Rory know Mels their whole life and have spent quite a lot of time with her. Rory locks Hitler in a cupboard after he shot a robot with tiny people inside but Mels was shot as well. Everyone is surprised when she regenerates and turns into River Song. She poisons the Doctor and Rory and Amy go after her. They are beamed into the robot and the people inside want to torture River for killing the Doctor. Amy saves her daughter and she saves her parents from the robot with the help of the Tardis. The Doctor dies but is revived by River who gives him her remaining regeneration energy.

This episode was bloody brilliant Mr. Moffat. Thank you so much!
Now we know more about River Song and how she became River Song. It is still open why she lands in prison but I think the Doctor knows by now who will kill him and if it's River or not. I think it is still possible that she killed Rory and that's the reason why she is in prison. I loved the moment when Rory locked Hitler in the cupboard. Just brilliant. But there has to be something good in Melody/River because she saved the Doctor and didn't just let him die. And now we also know from whom River got her blue notebook. I can't wait for the next episode.

Torchwood: Miracle Day: End of the Road

Not so many action scenes but I like it and I can't wait for the end to come. As always don't read on when you haven't seen the episode yet.

Summary:
Jack and the others go with Angelo's granddaughter but it's a bit of a shock for Jack to see Angelo as an old man. They are interrupted by a CIA agent who works for the families and who wants to kill Rex but he is arrested when the other CIA agents come. They also arrest Angelo's granddaughter but the car explodes and all are dead. Now Torchwood works together with the CIA but everything gets worse when Angelo dies in a world where nobody can die. Gwen is sent back to Wales after they discover alien technology in the floor but Jack can't really explain what it is. He escapes from the house with Esther but will he survive being shot?

I have to say I like both the action scenes and the calm moment between the different characters in Torchwood. It was nice to see that Jack had the chance to meet with Angelo again and maybe even make peace with a part of his past. We know a bit more about the families now and have seen some of the people who belong to them but we still don't really know what their motives are. Is it just that they wanted immortality or is it something else. I guess it can never be that simple with Torchwood. Finally we also have some alien technology which I have missed a bit in the last episodes. So, maybe they are using alien technology for all of this. Well, I guess we will see what happens next soon.

Torchwood: Miracle Day: Immortal Sins

That was a bloody great episode and I loved it. I feel we are getting closer to why the miracle happened now. Well, I guess we should be because it is only 3 episodes left till the finale. When you haven't seen the episode yet, stop reading now.

Summary:
Someone has kidnapped Gwen's family and now she has to bring Jack to them. During their drive Jack remembers his time in America in 1927 when he met Angelo, a man from Italy, who becomes his companion. Together they kill an alien parasite but then Jack is shot and Angelo thinks he is dead. Jack comes back to life but Angelo is in prison.They meet again a year later and Angelo kills Jack because he thinks he is the devil. Different people torture Jack and he dies over and over again and then there are this three strange man who make an agreement of some kind. Jack leaves without Angelo. In the present the moment arrives when Gwen has to hand over Jack but then everything changes.

I really loved this episode because it showed so much of Jack's past and that Gwen is willing to sacrifice everything to save her family. So Angelo has something to do with the whole miracle but we still don't know what and why. Maybe it's all about getting old with Jack or revenge because he has left him. I don't see any other possibilities at the moment. It's an episode where we don't see a lot of Rex and Esther but they are a bit like guardian angels for Jack and Gwen and help them in the background. Well, Torchwood is together again but for how long? I really don't know if Jack will go with this woman who was played by Nana Visitor. It's good to see her again. Who are the three men who made a bargain when Jack was tortured? They definitely have something to do with everything because they formed a triangle with their hands which is quite familiar to us now. I'm really looking forward to the next episode. Torchwood has picked up speed again.
