Summary:
The Master is able to capture the Doctor and Wilfred and when Donna calls her grandfather, he wonders why there is still someone that is not him. When the Master sends his copies after her, he isn't able to kill her because the Doctor has left her with a defence mechanism. The Master discovers that the drumbeat in his head comes from across time but before he can explore that further, Wilfred and the Doctor are rescued by Rossiter and Addams. They take them onto their ship which is in orbit around Earth but the Doctor stops them from leaving. After a broadcast from the Master, who tells them that he found a White-Point Star and that he wants to bring back the Time Lords, the Doctor repairs the ship and races back to Earth. He is too late though and the council of the Time Lords is already on Earth. When the Master tries to take over the Time Lords, Rassilon turns everyone on Earth back to human and suddenly Gallifrey appears in the sky. Wilfred tries to help and releases a man from the control booth but is trapped in there now himself. The Doctor tries to decide whom he shall kill to break the link of the Time Lords to Earth but when he sees his mother he destroys the White-Point Star instead and Gallifrey returns into the Time Lock. Rassilon wants to kill the Doctor but the Master saves his life. When the Doctor thinks everything is over he sees Wilfred in the chamber that will be flooded with radiation any second and he just can't let him die. And so the song of the Tenth Doctor ends.
This episode is a great ending for the Tenth Doctor and it's sad and funny at the same time. We finally know what the drumbeats in the Master's head are and that they were planted there by the Time Lords to bring them back to life. The scene when the Doctor can't decide whom he should kill to save the Earth is a great one and then he has the chance to see his long lost mother again who shows him the solution of his dilemma. I wouldn't have thought that the Master would save the Doctor but I guess that shows that there was still some of the friendship left from their childhood. The scenes between the Doctor and Wilfred are so moving and you just know that the Doctor wouldn't be able to let Wilfred die. When the Doctor says goodbye to all of his friends and companions, you can't help it and be sad but smile a little bit at the same time. Then there are the last words of the Tenth Doctor before he regenerates which make everything worse and then you have this knew Doctor who makes you almost laugh and look forward to knew adventures. A brilliant end for David Tennant's Doctor and a great start for Matt Smith.

Special: The End of Time, Part One
Summary:
The Doctor has delayed his visit to the Ood and now wonders why they have advanced so fast. The Ood tell him that the Master will return to Earth but there something much worse returning in his wake. After hearing that, the Doctor races back to Earth but he is too late to stop the resurrection of the Master. Meanwhile, Wilfred is searching for the Doctor and gets help from some of his friends. They find him while he hunts the Master, who is a homeless now. The Doctor and Wilfred start to talk and Wilfred begs the Doctor to talk to Donna who is just outside the café. When the Doctor says he can't do it or she'll die, Wilfred is sad but then the Doctor suddenly tells him that he will die soon and that he has to stop the Master. They part and the Doctor searches the Master. He finds him and the Master lets him hear the drums in his head before he gets kidnapped. Together with Wilfred the Doctor follows the trail of the Master but what does he want with the medical arc?
"The End of Time" is the first part of the Tenth Doctor's final moments. The episode has many funny but also many heartbreaking moments. It's so sad to see the feelings on the Doctor's face when he watches Donna from afar but he can't talk to her and when he tells Wilfred that he will die soon. This is just heartbreaking and makes it even harder to think about the imminent regeneration of the Doctor. On the other hand, it's brilliant that they have brought the Master back as the last foe of Ten. Their relationship is always one that lies somewhere between hate and love because they know each other so well. It's quite creepy when the Master takes over the human race and you can see this insane guy dressed in different clothes all over the world. That's something that you wouldn't want to happen in reality. Having Wilfred as a companion in this episode is so lovely because he brings so much fun into this dark episode and the Doctor needs someone like him by his side in his last days. Oh, and with a cliffhanger like this, you just can't wait for the next part to happen.

Today you get some quotes from the first part of "The End of Time" from series 4.
The Narrator: It is said that in the final days of planet Earth, everyone had bad dreams. To the west of the north of that world, the human race did gather in the celebration of the pagan rite to banish the cold and the dark. Each and every one of those people had dreamt of the terrible things to come, but they forgot because they must. They forgot their nightmares of fire and the war and insanity. They forgot... except for one.
The Doctor: I'm going to die.
Wilfred Mott: Well, so am I one day.
The Doctor: Don't you dare.
Wilfred Mott: All right, I'll try not to.
The Doctor: I can still die, if I'm killed before regeneration, then I'm dead. Even then, even if I change it feels like dying. Everything I am dies. Some new man goes sauntering away. And I'm dead.
The Narrator: And so it came to pass that the players took their final places. Making ready the events that were to come. The madman sat in his empire of dust and ashes, little knowing of the glory he would achieve. While his savior looked upon the wilderness in the hope of changing his inevitable fate. Far away, the idiots and fools dreamt of a shining new future, a future now doomed to never happen. As Earth rolled onwards into the night, the people of that world did sleep... and shiver, somehow knowing that dawn would bring only one thing. The final day.
The Master: I had estates. Do you remember my father's land back home? Pastures of red grass, stretching far across the slopes of Mount Perdition. We used to run across those fields all days, calling up at the sky.
The Doctor: You can't come with me.
Wilfred Mott: Well, you're not leaving me with her.
Sylvia Noble: Dad!
The Doctor: Fair enough.
The Doctor: (about the TARDIS) Ah. Right. Yes. Bigger on the inside. Do you like it?
Wilfred Mott: I thought it'd be cleaner.
The Doctor: Cleaner? I can take you back home right now.
Wilfred Mott: Listen, Doctor. If this is a time machine, that man you're chasing, why can't you just pop back to yesterday and catch him?
The Doctor: I can't go back inside my own timeline. I have to stay relative to the Master within the causal nexus. Understand?
Wilfred Mott: Not a word.
The Doctor: Welcome aboard.
Wilfred Mott: Thank you.
The Master: I like you.
