Quotes from "The Waters of Mars"

It is time for quotes from the series four special "The Waters of Mars".

Adelaide Brooke: State your name, rank, and intention.
The Doctor: The Doctor, Doctor,... fun?

The Doctor: (to the Martian colonists) I should go. I really should go. I'm sorry. I'm, I'm sorry with all of my hearts, but it's one of those very rare times when I've got no choice. It's been an honor.

Adelaide Brooke: What is that device?
The Doctor: Screwdriver.
Adelaide Brooke: What are you, The Doctor or the janitor?
The Doctor: I don't know. Sounds like me, though: maintenance man of the universe.

The Doctor: This thing's airtight, yeah?
Adelaide Brooke: And therefore watertight.
The Doctor: Depends how clever the water is.

Adelaide Brooke: We're safe. It's hermetically sealed. They can't get in.
The Doctor: Water is patient, Adelaide. Water just waits. It wears down the cliff tops, the mountains, the whole of the world. Water always wins.

Ed Gold: Well, at least I'm good for something.
Adelaide Brooke: Now and again.
Ed Gold: That's almost a compliment. Things must be serious.

The Doctor: This moment, this precise moment in time, it's like... I mean, it's only a theory, what do I know? But I think certain moments in time are fixed. Tiny, precious moments. Everything else is in flux, anything can happen, but those certain moments, they have to stand. This base on Mars, with you, Adelaide Brooke, this is one vital moment. What happens here must always happen.

Adelaide Brooke: It can't be stopped. Don't die with us.
The Doctor: No, 'cause someone told me just recently, they said I was gonna die. They said, "He will knock four times" and I think I know what that means and it doesn't mean right here, right now, 'cause I don't hear anyone knocking, do you? (Andy pounds his head on the window three times) Three knocks is all you're getting!

The Doctor: We're not just fighting the Flood, we're fighting time itself! And I'm gonna win!!!

Adelaide Brooke: You should have left us there.
The Doctor: Adelaide, I've done this sort of thing before. In small ways, saved some little people. But never someone as important as you. Ooh, I'm good.
Adelaide Brooke: Little people? What, like Mia and Yuri? Who decides they're so unimportant? You?
The Doctor: For a long time now, I thought I was just a survivor. No, but I'm not. I'm a winner. That's who I am. The Time Lord Victorious.
Adelaide Brooke: And there's no one to stop you.
The Doctor: No.
Adelaide Brooke: This is wrong, Doctor. I don't care who you are. The Time Lord Victorious is wrong.
The Doctor: That's for me to decide. Now, you'd better get home. Ooh, it's all locked up. You've been away. Still, that's easy. All yours.
Adelaide Brooke: Is there nothing you can't do
The Doctor: Not any more.

Series 2 Episode 13: Doomsday

Summary:
The Cybermen are on the whole planet when five Daleks come out of the sphere. They don't kill Rose and Mickey and it seems that they need them for something called the Genesis Ark. Rose's Dad comes from the parallel universe and tries to destroy the Cybermen, which isn't so easy. He would let the version of earth, which is not his own, suffer under the Cybermen just to get rid of them. But there is still the Doctor who doesn't want innocent people killed. Mickey unwillingly opens the Genesis Ark and millions of Daleks come out of it because they were imprisoned there. Soon the Cybermen and Daleks start to fight each other and the Doctor sends Rose into the other universe but she wants to stay with him and comes back. Together they open the breach so the Daleks and Cybermen will be sucked into it but Rose can't hold on and falls into it too but is saved by her father. Will the Doctor be able to see Rose again?

This is such a sad episode and the last in which we will see Rose for a long time. It already starts sad when we hear the voice-over and Rose says this is the day I died. Well, we know that she isn't really dead but she's in a parallel universe and there is no way for her to get back to the Doctor. The fight between Daleks and Cybermen is epic and really great for a series final. I wonder if every Dalek and Cybermen was sucked into the breach or if there are still some in some other parts of the universe. They must be somewhere because they all tend to come back. The episode has some great special effects and it must have been tons of work to let it look so good. The final seen at the beach in Bad Wolf Bay is so sad because the Doctor wants to say goodbye to Rose and then he's not able to tell her that he loves her. We all know it but he never says it. But Russel T. Davies managed to hook the people again for the next series and presents us a wonderful funny moment after the sad goodbye of Rose. Suddenly there is a bride in the Tardis and the Doctor has no idea how this could have happened.

Quotes from "Planet of the Dead"

Today you get some quotes from the first Doctor Who Easter special.

The Doctor: (using a sensor) Oh, we've got excitation! And I'm definitely picking up something strange.
Christina: Yeah, I know the feeling.

The Doctor: Call it a hunch, but I think we've gone a little bit further than Brixton.

Christina: And what's your name?
The Doctor: I'm the Doctor.
Christina: Name, not rank.
The Doctor: The Doctor.
Christina: Surname?
The Doctor: The Doctor.
Christina: You're called "The Doctor"?
The Doctor: Yes, I am.
Christina: That's not a name, that's a psychological condition.

The Doctor: Far away. Chops and gravy. Watching TV. Mike and Suzanne, and poor old Tina.
Barclay: Hey!
The Doctor: Just think of them. 'Cause that planet out there, all three suns and wormholes and alien sand, that planet is nothing. You hear me? Nothing, compared to all those things waiting for you. Good and home and people. Hold on to that. 'Cause we're gonna get there, I promise. I'm gonna get you home.

Capt. Magambo: It's the Doctor.
Malcolm: Do you mean "The Doctor" Doctor?
Capt. Magambo: I know, we all want to meet him one day, but we all know what that day will bring.

The Doctor: Oh, this is beautiful! Intact, it must've been magnificent! A proper, streamlined, deep-spacer!
Christina: Oh, I'll remember that as I'm being slowly tortured. At least I'm bleeding on the floor of a well-designed spaceship.

The Doctor: I'm the Doctor, by the way, and this is Christina, the honourable Lady Christina, at least I hope she's honourable.

Christina: That Lordship of yours. The lord of where, exactly?
The Doctor: Of Time. I come from a race of people called Time Lords.
Christina: You're an alien?
The Doctor: Yeah. But you don't have to kiss me either.
Christina: You look human.
The Doctor: You look Time Lord.

Christina: Those things are going to turn the entire Earth into a desert. So why exactly are you smiling?
The Doctor: Worse it gets, the more I love it!
Christina: Me, too.

The Doctor: The spaceship's a write-off. but the 200's small enough.
Christina: How does a crystal drive a bus?
The Doctor: In a super-clever, outer-spacey way. Just trust me.

Christina: The aristocracy survives for a reason. We're ready for anything.

The Doctor: Gold!
Christina: Oh, no you don't!
The Doctor: Christina, what is it worth now?
Barclay: Hey! Hey, use this! (holds up watch)
The Doctor: I said gold.
Barclay: It is gold!
The Doctor: Well, they saw you coming.

Christina: But you were right, it's not about the money. I only steal things for the adventure, and today with you, I want more days like this. I want every day to be like this. We're made for each other, you said so yourself. The perfect team. Why not?
The Doctor: People have travelled with me and I've lost them. Lost them all. Never again.

Carmen: Doctor, you take care now.
The Doctor: You too. Chops and gravy, lovely.
Carmen: No, but you be careful, because your song is ending, sir.
The Doctor: What do you mean?
Carmen: It is returning. It is returning through the dark. And then, Doctor... Oh, but then... he will knock four times.

Christina: We could've been so good together.
The Doctor: Christina, we were.

Series 2 Episode 12: Army of Ghosts

Summary:
The Doctor and Rose land in London to visit Jackie but something strange happens. Ghosts appear everywhere and not only in the UK but on the whole world. For the Doctor the strange figures don't look like ghosts and he tries to find out where their signal comes from. Accidentally, they take Jackie along on their journey, which brings them into the Torchwood Institute. There the Doctor and Jackie find out about the ghost shift and how Torchwood gains energy. Meanwhile, Rose is able to walk freely through the Institute and comes to a room with a strange sphere in it, which nobody can open. The Doctor's fears come alive when some programmed people from Torchwood start the ghost shift again and Cybermen from a parallel universe appear in Torchwood. But this is not all that the Doctor and his companions have to face.

This is the first part of the final two-parter of series two and the last time Rose is the Doctor's companion. It's an interesting story and the ghostly forms are a brilliant idea. I guess everybody has lost someone and they just want to believe that their loved ones came back. Torchwood is playing with humanity here and they don't know what they are playing with. Finally we see Torchwood in this episode after all the hints during series two. It's a bit crazy that they see the Doctor as their enemy and admire him at the same time. This is the first episode after the relaunch of Doctor Who in which we have two of the Doctor's big enemies: Daleks and Cybermen. But the episode is not only exciting but also a bit sad because we know that Rose won't be travelling with the Doctor anymore. Freema Agyeman, who plays Martha in series three, has a role in his episode as well and plays her cousin who is killed by the Cybermen.

Quotes from "The Next Doctor"

Today I have some quotes from the series 4 Christmas Special "The Next Doctor" for you.

The Next Doctor: What have we got here, then?
The Doctor: Hold on, who are you?
The Next Doctor: I'm the Doctor. Simply the Doctor. The one, the only and the best.

The Next Doctor: I should introduce Rosita, my faithful companion. Always telling me off.
The Doctor: Well, they do, don't they?

The Doctor: But I've heard all about you, Doctor. Bit of a legend if I say so myself.
The Next Doctor: Modesty forbids me to agree with you, sir. But yes. Yes, I am.

The Next Doctor: It's strange, though. I talk of Cybermen from the stars, and you don't blink, Mr. Smith.
The Doctor: Ah, don't blink, remember that? Whatever you do, don't blink. The blinking and the statues with Sally and the angels. No?
The Next Doctor: You're a very odd man.
The Doctor: Mmm. I still am.

The Next Doctor: Then I beg you, John, help me.
The Doctor: Ah. Two words I never refuse.

Miss Hartigan: Man that is born of woman hath but a short time to live. Although I've got some friends who might disagree with that. Would you like to meet them? Hark! I can hear them now. (The Cybermen arrive)

The Next Doctor: With all the things a Time Lord has seen, everything he's lost, he must surely have bad dreams.
The Doctor: Yeah.

The Next Doctor: There she is. My transport through time and space. The TARDIS!
The Doctor: You've got a balloon.
The Next Doctor: TARDIS. T - A - R - D - I - S. It stands for Tethered Aerial Release Developed in Style. Do you see?
The Doctor: Well, I do now. I like it. Good TARDIS.

Cyberman: You are the Doctor.
The Doctor: (waves; grins) Hello.

Miss Hartigan: But you promised me. You said I would never be converted!
Cyberleader: That was designated a lie.

Jackson Lake: Ladies and gentleman, I know that man! That Doctor on high! And I know that he has done this deed a thousand times. But not once, no, sir, not once not ever has he ever been thanked. But no more, for I say to you on this Christmas Morn, bravo, sir!

Jackson Lake: Tell me one thing. All those facts and figures I saw of the Doctor's life, you were never alone. All those bright and shining companions. But not any more?
The Doctor: No.
Jackson Lake: Might I ask why not?
The Doctor: They leave. Because they should or because they find someone else. And some of them, some of them … forget me. I suppose in the end, they break my heart.

The Doctor: Jackson, if anyone had to be the Doctor, I'm glad it was you.

Series 2 Episode 11: Fear Her

Summary:
Rose and the Doctor have travelled into the year 2012 to see the celebration of the Olympics. When they walk through a totally normal street in London they find out that children are missing. That grips their attention and soon they are in the middle of their investigation. The missing children and strange occurrences seem to be connected to the girl Chloe who had a bad father. Soon the Doctor finds out that the girl is possessed by an alien that crashed onto earth and can't get back to it's brothers and sisters. He wants to help both of them but Chloe draws the Doctor and so he's sucked into her drawing. Rose is on her own now and she tries everything to help Chloe and the Doctor. She figures out that the pod of the alien needs heat and hope to be able to fly again and so she throws it into the Olympic torch. Will that save the Doctor?

The first thing I always remember when I watch this episode is that Chloe has the same bedclothes that I have. I guess IKEA is everywhere. The second thought, now that we are in the year 2012, is that it would be so cool if David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor would light the Olympic flame. Wouldn't it be a paradox otherwise? The episode itself is quite scary with vanishing people and this scary drawing/person in the closet. It's interesting what somebody would do so he/she/it isn't alone anymore and these aliens are a great idea. The setting of the Olympic Games is great but I don't think we will see an episode where the Doctor participates in the games. This is the last episode before the series finale and the last words of the Doctor somehow prepare us for what is to come.

Martha Jones

I don't know why exactly but Martha is still my favourite companion of the Doctor. Many people will disagree with me here and say that they like Rose or Donna more but for me it's Martha.
First of all, I love her theme music, which was written brilliantly by Murray Gold. The second thing is that Freema Agyeman is a great actress and you believe that she is Martha and not that she's just playing a role.
Maybe I also like her that much because most of the time the Doctor doesn't really appreciate her and compares her to Rose. You can see that she knows that but she still stays and travels with him and she's there when he needs her, like in the year that never was.
I think the Doctor really notices her as someone who can't be compared to Rose after all this and when she decides to leave him.
I would love to see Martha again in the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who.

Quotes from "Journey's End"

Today you get some quotes from the series four finale "Journey's End".

(Mickey and Jackie destroys two Daleks)
Sarah Jane: Mickey!
Mickey: Us Smiths got to stick together.

The Doctor: You see? Used the regeneration energy to heal myself, but as soon as that was done I didn't need to change. I didn't want to. Why would I? Look at me.

(as Rose and the Doctor hug)
Donna: (to Captain Jack) You can hug me if you want. No, really, you can hug me.

(the Doctor's hand regenerates a new body)
Donna: Doctor!
New Doctor: Oh, yes!
Donna: You're naked.
New Doctor: Oh, yes!

Supreme Dalek: The TARDIS has been destroyed. Now, tell me, Doctor, what do you feel? Anger? Sorrow? Despair?
The Doctor: Yeah.
Supreme Dalek: Then if emotions are so important, surely we have enhanced you.

Donna: Is that what Time Lords do? Lop a bit off, grow another one? You're like worms.
New Doctor: No, no, no, no, no. I'm unique. Never been another like me. 'Cause all that regeneration energy went into the hand- look at my hand, I love that hand- but then you touched it. Wham! (Donna shrieks) Shush! Instantaneous biological metacrisis. I grew out of you. Still, could be worse.
Donna: Oi! Watch it, spaceman!
New Doctor: Oi! Watch it, Earth girl!

New Doctor: I must have picked up a bit of your voice, that's all. Is it? Did I? No! Oh, you are kidding me. No way! One heart. I've only got one heart. This body has only got one heart.
Donna: Like you're human.
New Doctor: Oh, that's disgusting!

Davros: It is time we talked, Doctor, after so very long.
The Doctor: No no no no no. We're not doing the nostalgia tour. I want to know what's happening right here right now.

Davros: (about the Doctor) Oh, that's it! The anger, the fire, the rage of a Time Lord, who butchered millions! There he is.

(finding Mickey and the others)
Jack: Just my luck. I climb through two miles of ventilation shafts, chasing life signs on this thing, and who do I find? Mickey Mouse.
Mickey: You can talk, Captain Cheesecake.
Jack: Ha! Good to see ya! And that's Beefcake!
Mickey: And that's enough hugging.

New Doctor: Davros said he built the Daleks out of himself. His genetic code runs through the entire race. If I can use this to lock the Crucible's transmission onto Davros himself…
Donna: It destroys the Daleks!
New Doctor: Biggest backfire in history.

Martha: I've got the Osterhagen Key. Leave this planet and its people alone or I'll use it.
The Doctor: Osterhagen what? What's an Osterhagen Key?
Martha: There's a chain of twenty-five nuclear warheads placed in strategic points beneath the Earth's crust. If I use the Key, they detonate and… the Earth gets ripped apart.
The Doctor: What?!? Who invented that? Well, someone called Osterhagen, I suppose.

Davros: Impossible. That face, after all these years.
Sarah Jane: Davros. It's been quite a while. Sarah Jane Smith. Remember?
Davros: Oh, this is meant to be! The circle of time is closing. You were there on Skaro at the very beginning of my creation.
Sarah Jane: And I've learned how to fight since then. You let the Doctor go, or this warp star, it gets opened.

Davros: The man who abhors violence. Never carrying a gun. But this is the truth, Doctor. You take ordinary people and you fashion them into weapons. Behold your Children of Time transformed into murderers. I make the Daleks, Doctor. You make this.

Davros: Stand witness, Time Lord. Stand witness, humans. Your strategies have failed, your weapons are useless and, oh, the end of the universe is come.

New Doctor: But that's brilliant.
The Doctor: Why did we never think of that?
Donna: Because you two were just Time Lords. You dumbos. Lacking that little bit of human, that gut instinct that comes hand-in-hand with planet Earth. I could think of ideas that you two couldn't dream of in a million years. Ah, the universe has been waitin' for me!

Donna: Part Human, part Time Lord. And I got the best bit of the Doctor. I got his mind.
Sarah Jane: So there's three of you?!
Rose: Three doctors?
Jack: I can't tell you what I'm thinking right now!

Doctor: Davros, come with me! I promise I can save you!
Davros: Never forget, Doctor! You did this! I name you, forever! You are the Destroyer of Worlds!

Jackie: Had a baby boy!
New Doctor: Ah, brilliant! What'd you call him?
Jackie: "Doctor."
New Doctor: Really?
Jackie: No, you plum. He's called Tony.

The Doctor: I just want you to know, there are worlds out there. Safe in the sky because of her. That there are people living in the light, and singing songs of Donna Noble. A thousand, million light years away. They will never forget her, while she can never remember. But for one moment... one shining moment... she was the most important woman in the whole wide universe.
Sylvia Noble: She still is. She's my daughter.
The Doctor: Then maybe you should tell her that once in a while.

Wilfred Mott: Oh, Doctor. What about you now? Who've you got? I mean, all those friends of yours.
The Doctor: They've all got someone else. Still that's fine. I'm fine.
Wilfred: I'll watch out for you, sir.
The Doctor: You can't ever tell her!
Wilfred: No no no. But every night, Doctor, when it gets dark and the stars come out, I'll look up. On her behalf, I'll look up at the sky and think of you.
The Doctor: Thank you.

Series 2 Episode 10: Love&Monsters

Summary:
Elton tells the story how he met the Doctor as a child. When he is an adult he joins the group L.I.N.D.A. and continues to search for the Doctor. Soon the group is more about friendship than searching for the Doctor until Victor Kennedy arrives. The mysterious man gives everybody in the group a task, which shall bring them closer to the Doctor. Elton befriends Rose's Mum Jackie and tries to find out where Rose and the Doctor are but she finds out what he's doing. The members of the group are vanishing one after the other and soon Elton finds out that Victor Kennedy is an alien. Ursula, Elton's girlfriend, is absorbed as well but then comes the Doctor. Can he save everyone?

"Love&Monsters" is the first episode where the Doctor and Rose can't be seen very often. The main focus is on Elton and his friends and the Doctor is more of a supporting act. The episode is really funny and I like the way it was filmed. I think the idea for the story is brilliant and we can see a bit more of Jackie without Rose. It's nice to see some of the events, which have already happened, from another perspective. The love story between Elton and Ursula is so cute and it somehow ends good for both of them. I really love the scene with the Doctor and Rose when they try to catch this alien or when they find Elton at the end of the episode because he upset Jackie. A great episode, which works well even if we don't see much of the Doctor.
