Season 5 Episode 3: Victory of the Daleks
Summary:
The Doctor got a call from Winston Churchill and now he and Amy are in the middle of World War II. Churchill is quite optimistic to win the war because he has a secret weapon up his sleeves. Proud, he presents his ironsides to the Doctor but he identifies them as Daleks as soon as he sees them. He tries to convince Churchill that the Daleks are evil but first he has success. Only when the Daleks show their real faces everyone believes him. But then it is nearly too late because the Daleks got what they wanted from the Doctor. A way to bring back their race and rule again. Now the Doctor tries everything to stop them but the supreme Daleks are born and he has to decide if he wants to save the Earth or stops them. Which decision will he make?
This is the first time that the Eleventh Doctor encounters the Daleks and there are some really tough decisions he has to make. We can see here that Amy plays a bigger role as his companion because she really helps him out in some moments, especially in the end. I love how they work together and how they start to form a bond. This season is more about Amy and the Doctor and you almost think that she has forgotten all about her fiancé and her wedding. Well, that still makes this a great episode and I really enjoy watching the actor who plays Winston Churchill. He does a brilliant job and I love this little banter between Winston and the Doctor about the Tardis key. So, all in all I would say "Victory of the Daleks" is a good episode but there are others that are a tick better than this one. In the end, you are left with the question why Amy didn't know the Daleks and what everything has to do with the crack that appears again. And what are the plans of the Daleks now?

Series 2 Episode 13: Doomsday
Summary:
The Cybermen are on the whole planet when five Daleks come out of the sphere. They don't kill Rose and Mickey and it seems that they need them for something called the Genesis Ark. Rose's Dad comes from the parallel universe and tries to destroy the Cybermen, which isn't so easy. He would let the version of earth, which is not his own, suffer under the Cybermen just to get rid of them. But there is still the Doctor who doesn't want innocent people killed. Mickey unwillingly opens the Genesis Ark and millions of Daleks come out of it because they were imprisoned there. Soon the Cybermen and Daleks start to fight each other and the Doctor sends Rose into the other universe but she wants to stay with him and comes back. Together they open the breach so the Daleks and Cybermen will be sucked into it but Rose can't hold on and falls into it too but is saved by her father. Will the Doctor be able to see Rose again?
This is such a sad episode and the last in which we will see Rose for a long time. It already starts sad when we hear the voice-over and Rose says this is the day I died. Well, we know that she isn't really dead but she's in a parallel universe and there is no way for her to get back to the Doctor. The fight between Daleks and Cybermen is epic and really great for a series final. I wonder if every Dalek and Cybermen was sucked into the breach or if there are still some in some other parts of the universe. They must be somewhere because they all tend to come back. The episode has some great special effects and it must have been tons of work to let it look so good. The final seen at the beach in Bad Wolf Bay is so sad because the Doctor wants to say goodbye to Rose and then he's not able to tell her that he loves her. We all know it but he never says it. But Russel T. Davies managed to hook the people again for the next series and presents us a wonderful funny moment after the sad goodbye of Rose. Suddenly there is a bride in the Tardis and the Doctor has no idea how this could have happened.

Series 2 Episode 12: Army of Ghosts
Summary:
The Doctor and Rose land in London to visit Jackie but something strange happens. Ghosts appear everywhere and not only in the UK but on the whole world. For the Doctor the strange figures don't look like ghosts and he tries to find out where their signal comes from. Accidentally, they take Jackie along on their journey, which brings them into the Torchwood Institute. There the Doctor and Jackie find out about the ghost shift and how Torchwood gains energy. Meanwhile, Rose is able to walk freely through the Institute and comes to a room with a strange sphere in it, which nobody can open. The Doctor's fears come alive when some programmed people from Torchwood start the ghost shift again and Cybermen from a parallel universe appear in Torchwood. But this is not all that the Doctor and his companions have to face.
This is the first part of the final two-parter of series two and the last time Rose is the Doctor's companion. It's an interesting story and the ghostly forms are a brilliant idea. I guess everybody has lost someone and they just want to believe that their loved ones came back. Torchwood is playing with humanity here and they don't know what they are playing with. Finally we see Torchwood in this episode after all the hints during series two. It's a bit crazy that they see the Doctor as their enemy and admire him at the same time. This is the first episode after the relaunch of Doctor Who in which we have two of the Doctor's big enemies: Daleks and Cybermen. But the episode is not only exciting but also a bit sad because we know that Rose won't be travelling with the Doctor anymore. Freema Agyeman, who plays Martha in series three, has a role in his episode as well and plays her cousin who is killed by the Cybermen.

You know you've watched too much Doctor Who when...
...you start to have strange dreams, which include Daleks.
I've rewatched the last episodes of series two lately and shortly after that I had a really strange dream.
People were living in a kind of colony but when they were against the rules they were killed by Daleks. Some people wanted to flee but most of them were killed except two kids their moms and a strange guy. The kids stole a car, had a crazy car chase with the Daleks and then everyone got into the car. Shortly before they left the colony, they let an oil reservoir explode and nobody could follow them. Then they were vanishing into the woods and that was the point where I woke up.
Definitely too much Doctor Who.

Dalek invasion of the Stargate universe
Today I found a video which combines Doctor Who and Stargate. The Daleks are in the Stargate universe and want to destroy every life form but it's not that easy for them. The video was made by GCm4n.

Series 1 Episode 6: Dalek
Summary:
The Doctor and Rose follow a signal and land in a museum full of alien artefacts. Soon they meet Mr van Statten who has collected everything and is especially proud of his one living alien. The Doctor wants to talk to it but he recognises the alien as his biggest enemy: a Dalek. The Dalek fell through a hole in time during the Time War and crashed on earth. The Doctor tells van Statten to destroy the Dalek as long as it's weak but van Statten doesn't want to hear anything about it. Rose touches the Dalek and he regenerates because of her DNA. It starts to kill people on its way out of the base. Can the Doctor stop the Dalek or not? Will he loose Rose?
This is the first time in the new series that we see the Daleks again, one of the enemies of the Doctor. It is interesting to see how the Doctor changes when he is in the company of the Dalek. Sometimes it seems that he is not better than his enemy and that the only thing he wants to do is kill it. I think Rose speaks for the whole audience when she asks him, "What is wrong with you?"
Rose can see the Dalek with different eyes because she hasn't been in the Time War and doesn't know what has happened there. I think the moments between Rose and Adam are quite nice and it is good to see Rose and the Doctor interact with other characters than with each other. The episode still has its funny moments and I always like the scene when the Doctor looks for a weapon and has a hair-dryer in his hands. In the new series the Daleks have evolved as well because they are able to levitate now and are able to climb stairs as well. So, Stairs are no help anymore when you meet a Dalek.
